Why rent-to-rent beats waiting to save a deposit
You don't need to own a building to earn from one — and the operating skills transfer when you do buy.
The standard advice is to save a deposit, buy, then learn. That path takes years and teaches you nothing until the very end of it.
Rent-to-rent inverts the order. You lease a unit with the landlord's written consent to sublet as short-stay accommodation, furnish it, and operate it. Your capital goes into furniture and float rather than a deposit, and you start learning guest operations, pricing and compliance immediately.
The skills are the point. When you do buy, you're buying as an operator who already knows what the unit will actually earn — not as someone guessing from a spreadsheet.
